Rangers Place RHP Colby Lewis on 15-Day DL

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - The Texas Rangers have placed right-hander Colby Lewis on the 15-day disabled list because of tendinitis in his forearm.

The move is retroactive to Sunday and the Rangers promoted left-handed prospect Martin Perez from Triple-A Round Rock to take
Lewis' roster spot.

Lewis is 6-6 with a 3.51 ERA in 15 starts this season since making the team's Opening Day start. In his last outing, Lewis was raked for 12 hits and eight runs, seven of them earned, in just four innings.

The earliest Lewis will be eligible for reactivation is July 9, after the All-Star break.
