LAS VEGAS (AP) - Sen. Marco Rubio says Nevada voters could very well be the ones who decide whether the Republican or Democratic parties will be in control of the U.S. Senate and the White House after this fall.

The Florida Republican stumped for Dean Heller at a $50-per-plate fundraiser lunch in Las Vegas on Thursday.

Heller is running to keep his U.S. Senate seat against Shelly Berkley.

Democrat Berkley campaigned Thursday at a coffee house in Carson City, where she said Social Security and Medicare are under attack by Heller and the Republican presidential ticket.

The seven-term Democratic congresswoman from Las Vegas tied her opponent to Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. Berkley called Ryan's budget plan "radical, ill-conceived" legislation that would harm seniors, the poor and the middle class.
