LAS VEGAS (AP) - Federal authorities have arrested a North Las
Vegas store owner accused of buying and reselling black-market
liquor and baby formula he thought had been stolen from area
supermarkets.

Police and federal ATF agents took 54-year-old Amer "Sunny"
Ramo into custody Tuesday at his convenience store at West Lake
Mead Boulevard and Englestad Street.

Officials say the case illustrates the multi-billion dollar
nationwide problem of organized retail theft.

Ramo is accused of buying bottles of liquor and baby formula
that he believed had been stolen from grocery stores in the Las
Vegas area and purchasing cigarettes that hadn't been taxed by the
state. Authorities say he bought the items from undercover police
and an ATF agent.

Ramo is due to face a federal magistrate judge in Las Vegas U.S.
District Court.
