LAS VEGAS (AP) - Advocates for immigration reform and worker rights marched peacefully to a federal courthouse in Las Vegas for a May Day candlelight vigil.
The Las Vegas Sun reports that more than 150 people took part in a rally at a commercial center and walked several blocks up Las Vegas Boulevard, led by Occupy Las Vegas organizers.
Justin Ponkow banged a drum, spoke of the disparity between a wealthy "1 percent" and economically challenged "99 percent" and said he wants labor justice for exploited immigrant workers.
