PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Scientific research is advancing with the help of a pair of pro race car drivers.

Stanford researchers are set to monitor race car drivers' brain activity during races. The scientists are working with two professional drivers and will monitor their body activity as they participate in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion races at the Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California on Saturday, August 18th.

Scientists affiliated with Stanford's Revs Program have enlisted the two drivers to wear a suite of biological sensors as they race. The researchers will monitor drivers' body temperature, heart rate and brain activity.
