SPARKS, NV - Sparks police are seeking witnesses to a greusome car versus motorcycle accident that could leave a baby without a mother.
When Sparks officers arrived to the scene of the accident at 6:45 Thursday night, two people were laying in the roadway.
We now know those two women, who are mother and daughter, were on a motorcycle at the intersection of 4th Street and Lincoln Way. The daughter is eight months pregnant.
Police believe the driver of a Toyota Scion, which was heading north on 4th Street turned west, into the path of the bike, ejecting both women from their Harley.
Police say, the daughter's helmet flew off on impact, so when she hit the ground -- she sustained a life threatening head injury and is in critical condition. Police say the baby is okay.
The mother on the bike only broke her arm and dislocated her shoulder.
