LOS ANGELES (AP) - Prosecutors are recommending more than two years in prison for one of two California brothers who both have pleaded guilty to kidnapping their sons four years ago.

John Silah is scheduled to be sentenced Monday in a Los Angeles federal courtroom for abducting his son and taking him out of the United States without the consent of his ex-wife in 2008.

Silah and his brother, George Silah, were extradited to the U.S. after they were found in the Netherlands in November 2010 with their sons.

George Silah, who has two sons, was sentenced in May to 27 months in prison.

Authorities said the international flight began after the Silah brothers picked up their sons for visits. They traveled through Mexico, Central America and Europe before getting caught.
