104 Years in Prison for Molester of 6 Boys

VENTURA, Calif. (AP) - A Southern California man who molested
six boys, including some younger than 14 years old, has been
sentenced to 104 years in prison.
Victims testified that 29-year-old Joe Maldonado got them to
perform sexual acts, including sodomy and oral copulation, in
exchange for cash, athletic shoes and rides to a girlfriend's house.
A Ventura County jury convicted the Oxnard man on 43 counts of
sexual abuse. He was sentenced on Wednesday.
While he was in jail, the Ventura County Star says Maldonado tried to get a friend to destroy evidence on his computer.
Maldonado had a website and pretended to be a 15-year-old girl
named Christina to chat with male minors, soliciting them to submit
photographs of themselves naked or partially clothed.
