The body of a skier missing since April 19th was found by search and rescue teams Thursday near Yosemite, CA.
According to Mono County Sheriff's Office, 31-year-old Boris Avdeev of Ann Arbor, Michigan was found in Cocaine chute, a popular back country skiing spot after being missing for two weeks. Avdeev was an experienced back country skier.
Mono County Sheriff's Search and Rescue teams are working with Douglas County and El Dorado County Sheriff's Search and Rescue teams and a Spartan 895 black hawk helicopter to try and recover Avdeev's body from the chute.
The public is asked not to go to this area for any assistance.
This is still an ongoing search and rescue operation. At this time, Avdeev's cause of death is unknown.
