VIRGINIA CITY, Nev. - Hundreds of people traded the big city celebration Wednesday for Virginia City's Historic 4th of July celebration.

Following the afternoon parade, hundreds of people kept the celebration going with a 'Red, White and You' wine walk and a free outdoor concert put on by the Comstock Boys.

The hometown feel of the celebration is what draws the large crowd year after year.

Some people even making the trip from California.

Diane Watts says she comes all the way from Santa Rosa every year just to hear the Comstock Boys play.

"It's our Fourth 4th of July celebration here," Watts says "We discovered the Comstock Boys about five years ago and we've come up every since."

She says Virgina City's historic celebration has everything she could ever want to help celebrate this patriotic day.

And the party continued on through the night with a fireworks display.
