When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Just remember, it is better to be judged by 12 good men than to be carried by six. Who cares if the gun was registered? If the clerk is charged with possession of an unregistered handgun, I hope the jury revolts and finds him innocent by reason of a insane law.

A dozen years ago a criminalogist used gov't stats to estimate that guns are used (shot or meerly displayed) 1,000,000 times each year in USA to thwart criminal action (1,000,000/365=2,740). Also, a 1994 survey conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that Americans use guns to frighten away intruders who are breaking into their homes about 498,000 times per year.

After reading the Las Vegas Review, someone there stated the the two clerks were the owner's sons. The older son was protecting his brother and the gun was always on the premises. Hopefully, the family had it registered to avoid any conflict. Also it sounds like the clerk knew how to use the gun since the robber was shot twice.

If DQ fires the employee, I think everybody should boycott DQ. Hats off to the employee registered or not. More people should say, we are not going to take this any more!

The biggest concern is seeing if the gun that saved the employee's lives is properly registered....SERIOUSLY????

Are the police also going to check if the sword was properly registered? The shooting probably saved the lives of the 3 people working at the store or at the very least saved them from serious injuries!

He got what he deserved, being both a thief and stupid. Never never bring a sword to a gun fight.
