Two Young Children Die in Hot Car; Mother Arrested

Two children in Tennessee are dead after police say they were left in a hot car. Their 25-year-old mother is charged in their deaths.

Authorities near Nashville say they found the bodies of a 2 and 3-year-old in the driveway of their home, near a parked car.

Police say the two likely suffered heat stroke before they were removed from the car. But they say the medical examiner will have to perform autopsies to determine the exact cause of death.

The mother faces two counts of especially aggravated child abuse.
