RENO, NV - A man found guilty of killing his brother-in-law in 2010 learned his fate Friday.
Timothy Wayne Morgan has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for second-degree murder, with at least three more years for using a deadly weapon. He won't be eligible for parole for at least 13 years.
In May, Morgan was found guilty of killing Eric Preimesberger.
While being recorded, Morgan confessed to hitting Preimesberger twice with a baseball bat. According to witness testimony, he then put the body in a freezer, moved it to a wooded area in Plumas County, and buried it.
During the trial, Preimesberger's wife Kristi, who is also Morgan's sister, testified as a material witness, but was not charged with a crime.
