His condition is improving slowly although still in ICU and uable to comunicate we have strong faih that he will pull through. We appreciate the help and support that we have recieved thus far from all of the victims' friends, THANK YOU!

Have you taken a look at our economy lately? Between my husband and I, we have 3 jobs, and we still can't afford insurance. With the pay cuts we have taken in the past 4 years, we can barely make our bills. We bought life insurance years ago, but it isn't nearly enough to pay all funeral expenses these days. This man was critically injured by some numb-nuts that just drove away, and left there on the side of the road to die. Thankfully, he survived, but he and his family are now faced with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of hospital bills. Also, did you stop and think about how long it can take to get an insurance reimbursement? This man was probably the bread winner in his family, and now he is in a hospital bed fighting for his life. I hope you and your family never find yourself in a situation like this. If you don't like them asking for donations, then DON'T DONATE. Simple as that. Your comment is heartless and rude. HE wasn't the one at fault here.

Jason you are an idiot. The man was hit and left for dead by some POS. The article said nothing about needing money for medical expenses so it sounds like he had insurance. They need the money to help with expenses of life while he recovers from this.

Jason, you are a true idiot! Must be nice to live in a perfect world like you do right???? Maybe he is the only one in the family who earns a paycheck. Think before you just have a mental moment. I'm sure your family would appreciate the kindness of donations from people who care and are concerned for the well-being of the family of the victim. And let's say this word together V-I-C-T-I-M, which means that he was not doing anything wrong and got clobbered by some idiot with your mental ability. I'm sure the family wishes to thank you for your compassion - you turd!!

Jason, did you ever stop to think that this family is probably embarrassed to ask for money but has no other means to pay for treatment? Instead of condemning the man who rides for the joy of riding, condemn the horrible person who left the scene without a conscience! And your mention of risks...We all take risks whether it's riding a motorcycle, a bicycle, driving a car, or walking in a cross walk. Shame on you for implying it is his fault!

why is it when anything bad happens to someone that the family feels they need to solicate money from others to pay for expenses....buy insurance!!!!Don't do things that put you at risk if you cant afford the consequences when things go bad.
