I got one of these impact attenuators from sparebumper.com to block under-ride and shield the tank zone on my Jeep.

This has Ford Pinto written all over it. It'll be interesting to know if Chrysler knew of or knows about the potential for post collision fires and has tried to or is trying to cover it up and if the possible design defect is the result of an economic deciscion. (As opposed to an actual engineering problem)
