Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Car in Reno

RENO, NV - Reno police say a man has died after being hit by a car last Wednesday night.

Officers say just before 11PM, 63-year-old John Bell was crossing South Virginia near Crummer Lane. He was not in a crosswalk, and he was wearing dark clothes.

The driver of the car is not hurt, and police say they don't think she was impaired by alcohol or other drugs.

The Reno Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the accident. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Reno Police Department Traffic Division at 334-2141 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
