Senior Games Wrap Up With Go-Carts

RENO, NV - About a dozen retirees from around Washoe County put the pedal to the metal for the final round of competition in this year's Senior Games. The final crowning event was held next door to the Grand Sierra Resort on a Go-Cart Track.

77-year old Rose Ann Capriotti says her strategy was simply to win! Participants also say the games are a great way to get out of the house and have a little fun while making new friends. Activates vary from table tennis to swimming.

The games are held in honor of "National Older American's Month" and are coordinated by senior centers throughout Reno, Sparks, Sun Valley and Incline Village. Closing ceremonies will take place Saturday afternoon at Cascades of the Sierra senior community.
