Immigration Agent Charged With Hitting Flagger With Car

Reporter: Staff

RENO, NV - A Reno man who apparently didn't want to stop in a construction zone is accused of hitting a flagger with his car.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says just before 7AM Friday, Marc Walker, a local immigration and customs enforcement agent, may have gotten irritated driving through the work zone on Geiger Grade.

Investigators say when Walker was stopped by a flagger, Walker started arguing with the roadworker, then drove past the stop sign and was stopped by another flagger, with whom he also argued. That flagger's arm was hit by Walker's car as he drove past, according to the NHP. Then, he was allegedly stopped by a third flagger before flashing his ICE badge and driving off.

The construction crew got his license plate, and Walker eventually drove to NHP headquarters, where he was arrested.

The flagger who was hit isn't seriously hurt.
