Send NJ Babysitter Admits Making, Streaming Sexual Assault of 5-Year-Old

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey woman has admitted to sexually
assaulting a 5-year-old girl she was allegedly babysitting and putting a video of the assault on the Internet.

Thirty-three-year-old Jennifer Mahoney of Manalapan pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court in Trenton to sexual exploitation of a child. She faces between 15 and 30 years in prison when she is sentenced Aug. 22, and will have to pay restitution to the victim.

As part of the plea, she agreed 30 years is the appropriate sentence, although the judge will have the final say. She would be under supervised release after she gets out of prison.

U.S. Attorney Paul Fishman said in a statement that "those like Mahoney, who create and feed the market, perpetuate unimaginable
suffering for the children they abuse."
