Over 600 loose their jobs? Why don't the plants just do the right thing and process the correct meat?

There are dozens of countries which wouldn't have a problem with this and would actually appreciate it (as long as it's not contaminated with bacteria). It's kinda gross, but so is sausage - a staple meat product consumed all over the world.
And what about for pet food or for zoos? "Scraps" should be recycled somehow (just not in our dinners, please).
