"RENO, NV - Reno's largest Latino heritage celebration will take place this weekend at the GSR"
Cinco De Mayo has nothing to do with Latino heritage. It was on battle between the French and the Mexican army in witch the Mexican army won. It was over a debt that Mexico barrowed money from france and did not pay it back.
If that is something to be proud of go for it.

Why is cinco de mayo celebrated? It is because, the Juan Valdez, a Mexican ship full of mayonaise, sank on its way to Cuba. When the ship captain was asked what happened, the response was "El Sinko de Mayo".
