Police Standoff in Reno Ends, Suspect Identified

RENO, NV - A police standoff near McKinley Drive in Reno has ended.

The Reno Police Department assisted Parole and Probation officers in the standoff situation which started around 10pm Tuesday.

The man had been wanted for violating his parole. He had been charged with Second Degree Murder in a case that is 3-4 years old.

He has been identified as Vernon Willoughby, who is 50 years old.

There were people in the home at the time, but nobody was hurt.
