Prisoner Escapes from Tonopah Conservation Camp

RENO, NV -- Officials with the Nevada Department of Corrections want Nevada residents to be on the look-out for an escaped prisoner.

Officials tell KOLO 8 News Now that inmate Mark Nemeth walked away from the Tonopah Conservation Camp, early Saturday morning. He was last seen inside the minimum custody facility at 4am on June 30th. He was discovered missing just an hour later around 5am.

Nemeth is described as a 40-year-old white male who is 5’8” tall and about 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Nemeth is serving sentences for Attempted Burglary, Grand Larceny and for attempting to establish or possess a Financial Forgery Laboratory.

He was sentenced in Clark County. Anyone with information about Nemeth's current location should contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
