Reporter: Associated Press

JOPPATOWNE, Md. (AP) - Authorities say in court documents that a Maryland man has admitted to eating another man's heart and part of
his brain.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office says 21-year-old college student Alexander Kinyua has been charged with first-degree murder.

They say Kinyua was arrested Wednesday, days after his roommate
went missing. Police say they found body parts while searching the townhome in Joppatowne just outside of Baltimore. Police also found
body parts in a nearby trash container.

Kinyua is charged with first-degree murder and was ordered held on no bail.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Monica Worrell says police believe the body parts are those of the missing man.

Last week, police in Miami shot and killed a man eating the face off another man, who survived.
