RENO, Nev. (AP) - Native grass seed is being made available for
free to victims of last fall's Caughlin Fire in Reno.

Each bag of seed is enough to cover about 7,500 square feet and
will include instructions on how to spread the seed by hand.

The seed was donated to the Nevada Land Conservancy by the
Nevada Division of Forestry.

Each household can receive one bag of seed, and people must show
proof of residence and identification to claim it.

Seed can be picked up from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the
Starbucks on Caughlin Parkway; and during those same hours Sunday at the Starbucks on the corner of Lakeside Drive and McCarran Boulevard.

The Caughlin fire that broke out Nov. 18 destroyed 26 homes and
damaged 17 others.
