Buckeye Fire Near Bridgeport Leads to Campground Evacuation
Wildifre burning in the Buckeye Canyon area near US 395 south in California has burned 1,140 acres, according to Sierra Front.

BRIDGEPORT, CA - Buckeye Campground has been evacuated because of an 1200-acre fire that's burning in Mono County, California, near Bridgeport.
The fire started burning around 11:40am on Sunday, according to Sierra Front.
It's burning off of 395 and Buckeye Canyon.
More than 100 firefighters are battling the blaze with five engines, two air tankers, and two helicopters.
It is sage and grass that is burning. No structures are threatened, and no one is hurt.
No word yet on how the fire started.

My wife's family own's the house just down the hill from Buckeye Rd.I believe they are using it as a staging/command area. If anyone has any pictures can you please email them to me? Thanks...

My husband is on that fire lets hope they get it out so they can all come home safe!
