PLACERVILLE (AP) - An attorney in the case of a northern California girl held captive for 18 years says defendant Phillip Garrido will plead guilty to all charges and his wife will go to trial unless she gets a better plea deal.

Lawyer Stephen Tapson, who represents defendant Nancy Garrido,
said Monday her husband will make the guilty plea on Thursday at a
pretrial conference.

Public defender Susan Gellman, who represents Phillip Garrido, did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment. El
Dorado County District Attorney Vern Pierson declined to comment.

The Garridos are each charged with 18 felony counts of false
imprisonment, rape and child pornography.

They are accused of kidnapping 11-year-old Jaycee Dugard and
holding her captive until their arrest in August 2009.

To Ann: I think you may be the only one hoping for a bit of humanity from either of these individuals. As Nancy G's rather vile attorney pointed out, without an incompetency ruling he has NO OTHER defense. As for humanity, 11-year-old Jaycee never saw a doctor from the time she was kidnapped until she was almost 30 years old, despite being raped to the point of birthing 2 children at ages 14 and 16/17. There is NOTHING humane or remotely sympathetic about EITHER of these individuals.

Don't give him too much credit, the details are most likely so torrid and sick he doesn't want them made public so he can (perhaps) not get killed in prison !!

Am I the only one out there that sees a little humanity in the man that he does not make her have to stand up and tell the world what she went through?
