PLACERVILLE, Calif. (AP) - The El Dorado County sheriff's department is fighting a Northern California couple's request for in-jail visits while they await trial for kidnapping and raping Jaycee Dugard.
Lawyers for the county filed court papers Tuesday opposing the request from Phillip and Nancy Garrido. Their lawyers have asked a judge to compel jail officials to allow the two to meet face-to-face so they can talk about the case, their finances and their hopes for Dugard and the two daughters she had with Phillip Garrido.
In the papers, Chief Assistant County Counsel Edward Knapp says California law does not give jail inmates a constitutional right to visit each other. He says arranging such visits for the Garridos
would overburden jail staff.
A Superior Court judge is scheduled to consider the visitation request on Friday.

I agree...they should not be allowed visitation with each other. If granted, then a precidence will be set for any and all inmate couples to visit. They can communicate through their lawyers.
They shouldn't be able to visit each other. They are both being held on charges and should have no communication. Jaycee was kept from her family for 18 years.
