EL DORADO COUNTY, CA - Friday, we may learn if Jaycee Dugard and her daughters will have to testify against the couple accused of kidnapping them. Sacramento TV stations are reporting that Phillip and Nancy Garrido will be in court in El Dorado County to be arraigned.
That follows a defense lawyer for one of the Garridos saying he understood the couple had been indicted, which would eliminate the need for a preliminary hearing, which is where a judge would decide if there is enough evidence for a trial.
The Garridos are accused of kidnapping 11-year-old Jaycee Lee Dugard from South Lake Tahoe in 1991, and holding her for 18 years. During that time, Phillip Garrido fathered two children with Dugard.
Dugard and her children were found safe last year.
