Posted: 8:13 PM WHAT: Actress Lee Garlington will offer a four-hour workshop on how to get started—and keep going—as an actor in Hollywood. The workshop is presented by Sierra School of Performing Arts in conjunction with the E. L. Wiegand Performing Arts Collaborative and Bishop Manogue Catholic High School. The workshop is a “know before you go” opportunity for those planning to major in theater, audition for colleges, agents, or plays, or move to New York or Los Angeles. Anyone considering a show business career can gain valuable knowledge from Garlington, who conducts regular workshops for the SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Conservatory, has appeared in more than 60 films, and been a regular on six TV series. The workshop’s first hour will be an informative and entertaining presentation on the fundamentals of how to succeed in show business. The remainder of the workshop will be open to what the audience wants: an audition workshop with coaching and feedback; question and answer; monologue or scene work. If you have a monologue prepared, Garlington will be able to work with a few one on one. Cost is $40, or $25 for students with ID. Catholic school student with ID are free Space is limited. But if you do have an outstanding debt, and you feel you are being harassed you can contact the Nevada Department of Business and Industry: Nevada Department of Business and Industry P.O. Box 3239 Carson City, NV 89702 775-687-5522 or 702-486-4120 You should also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. They are responsible for enforcing what is called the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The FTC looks at patterns of complaints and holds debt collection agencies accountable both by suing them, and fining them.
