Reno, Nev. - Hot August Nights officially kicks off Tuesday August 9th.

Hot rods and classic cars will be in Reno until Sunday, August 14th.

Some of Tuesday's big events include a Classic Car Competition at John Ascuaga's Nugget from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., and the Official Locals Kick-Off Cruise of Champions from 5 p.m until 10 p.m.

There will also be a Controlled Open Cruise in Sparks from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.
