Historic eclipse rolls across US

Millions of Americans gazed in wonder through telescopes, cameras and disposable protective glasses Monday as the moon blotted out the sun in the first full-blown solar eclipse to sweep the U.S. from coast to coast in nearly a century.

Smoke and haze could impact viewing for the solar eclipse this morning. Afternoon thunderstorms will be possible each day through Wednesday before we clear up and heat up for the end of the week.

Both agencies provide free services for people who live in the City of Reno or who attend the university and live on campus to record their bicycles' serial numbers and register them.
