More active weather is on the way. A shot of colder air will bring a few snow showers Tuesday afternoon, followed by very chilly weather for Wednesday. By Wednesday night, a warmer plume of moisture will start to push into the area from the eastern Pacific. With cold air in the lower levels, this could bring snow or freezing rain to valleys for the Thursday morning commute. By afternoon, windy, warmer weather will mix down to the surface, with valley rain and mountain snow into Friday. With a few breaks, showers are likely through early next week. Plan on messy travel over the passes and breezy, unsettled conditions for valleys. -Jeff
