A firey car crash takes out power to 19-hundred sierra pacific customers in sparks. Two cars were involved in the crash.
It's believed the drivers were racing along greg street when one vehicle lost control. It crashed into a transformer - cutting power to surrounding neighborhoods.
The driver fled... and the car burst into flames. Officers say the driver of the other car had to be removed by force. After emergency crews used the jaws of life to remove the driver of the car that hit the building, he was taking to renown medical center for treatment.
Power crews had to wait until the accident investigation team cleared the area before they could begin the work of restoring power. Because of the extensive damage some customers on united circle could be without power for the rest of the evening. But power should now be restored to most people.
