Posted: 09/15/2014 - Dateline: 5PM Sunday Sept.14th....This radar image shows the plume of smoke that has moved into the Truckee Meadows from the King Fire which has destroyed over 2,000 acres in the Pollock Pines area of Eldorado County in California. That fire started yesterday about 4:30pm. Smoke is heavy in the Verdi area and north Lake Tahoe. Winds are SSW at 20mph gusting to 30mph.
