Missing Skiers Found by Rescuers

Updated: 02/05/2008 - Two skiers that went missing near Lake Tahoe during a winter storm were safely found Monday morning. Patrick Frost, 35, and Christopher Gerwig, 32, both of San Francisco were spotted by a Placer County Sheriff's Department helicopter about two miles from the Alpine Meadows ski resort just west of Lake Tahoe.

Suspect Sketch Vague, Say UNR Students

Updated: 05/07/2010 - A composite sketch released by police Thursday has put fear in the faces of many UNR students. The sketch is of a suspected rapist that may be connected to the Brianna Denison abduction. Police have already used D-N-A to link two previous sexual assaults to the 19-year-old's disappearance, and this week another victim has come forward, saying she, too, was attacked.

2.7 Million Gallons of Sewage Spilled in San Francisco Bay

Posted: 02/01/2008 - Marin County officials say 2.7 million gallons of sewage has spilled into San Francisco Bay. The spill occurred in Richardson Bay, an arm of San Francisco Bay that stretches between Tiburon and Sausalito in Marin County. The extent of the spill's spread is unknown.
