Human Remains Found; Believed to Belong to Missing Woman

Posted: 06/02/2007 - On Friday afternoon, officials with the Lassen County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team discovered human remains about 6 ½ miles east of an abandoned 1991 Mazda sedan, that was found in a heavily-wooded area of Lassen County. Officials say those remains are consistent with that of Wiltrude Moritz, the Douglas County woman who has been missing since May 14th, 2007.
