Wild Horse Round-up

Posted: 10/24/2006 - The US Bureau of Land Management has announced plans to conduct an emergency roundup of about 100 wild horses around the Clan Alpine Mountains of northern Nevada. BLM officials say the roundup expected to start this week is necessary because of a 6,200 acre wildfire this summer that destroyed forage for the animals.

Pitsnogle Testifies

Paul Pitsnogle testified Friday that the young woman offered a sex act, then began undressing when it looked like she might be arrested for drunken driving. His trial is expected to continue this week in Washoe County District Court.

Posted: 10/17/2006 - A Carson City man was killed this morning when he was hit by a pickup as he attempted to cross US 50 east of Carson City. The Nevada Highway Patrol says 22-year-old James Bradley was not in a crosswalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
