Updated: 03/13/2007 - A man struck and killed by a Citifare bus was identified Tuesday as an 88-year-old Reno man. Rex Hulsey, who walked with a cane, was in a crosswalk on Lake Street when he was hit by the bus Sunday afternoon near downtown, police said. He was not carrying any identification.

Record highs fell across Nevada Monday, including one that stood for more than a century in Reno where the mercury topped out at 80 degrees. A year ago on the same date, the high in Reno was 34 degrees and it was snowing.

Posted: 03/12/2007 - Firefighters in Lyon County responded to a house fire this morning. The house is on Cottonwood Lane in Fernley. The fire started at around 4 this morning. Dispatchers say the house is unoccupied. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Updated: 03/12/2007 - A suspect has been arrested in the early morning officer involved shooting in Douglas. Still outstanding is the passenger of the vehicle, Robert Michael Hernandez. He is 20 years of age, 5’9” tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has short black hair and goes by the nickname “Pee Wee”.
