RENO, Nev. -- As the weather starts to warm up, you'll want to cool down. A new, locally owned frozen yogurt shop is opening its doors and bringing something unique to the table.

Most children can agree that the tastiest treats are sweet and usually covered in chocolate.

"On hot days it really cools you down and it's really good," Saddie Baldwin, nine-year-old said.

She's referring to frozen yogurt, a popular treat for locals. It's a little more than $3 per cup, but with half the calories as ice cream, a variety of flavors and toppings, it's hard for families on a budget to pass up a good deal.

"Bringing affordable family evening to yogurt, which includes a cinematic experience," Mary Reimer, owner of YoShow Frozen Yogurt.

At her new shop, you can now watch a free movie while satisfying your sweet tooth.

"With kids, they like to be entertained and moms like to have a break also, so you put the two together and you have the perfect experience," she said. "Yogurt pretty much touches everybody."

Kids love the taste that masks the healthy factors.

"It's good! It's like a healthier version of ice cream

When it's hot outside, it's easy to be tempted by sweet treats like ice cream to cool you down, but why not choose a healthier alternative like frozen yogurt. Here, they serve Greek yogurt which is high in protein, low in sugar, and low in fat.

YoShow Frozen Yogurt will be screening movies outside at 8 p.m. every night. The shop is located next to Einstein's Bagels at the corner of Kietzke and McCarran.
