RENO, NV - Have you always admired the wrestlers on WWE? There's a new school in Reno that can teach you everything you need to know to get you started in the world of pro-wrestling.

Jared Barton says becoming a pro-wrestler is a lifelong goal of his.

"It's been something I've always watched on TV and wanted to do all my life," said Barton.

He's one week into his training at Reno Wrestle Factory, a wrestling school that just opened in Reno.

"I like it a lot. It's definitely tough. You get beat up pretty good," he says.

He and his classmates are learning how to put on a wrestling show from some local pros, who are also instructors. They're learning how to bounce off the ring the right way, flip and fall without getting hurt.

They have to "learn how to adjust to the punishment that this ring can dish out, because it's not easy," said Drake Nelson, a co-owner and trainer at Reno Wrestle Factory.

Part of their training is learning how to develop a wrestling persona.

"Time and thought goes into the characters, and most successful characters in the wrestling business are kind of accentuations of how they really are," said Nelson.

On average, students will train for about a year before they enter the world of pro-wrestling.

The training could take more or less time, but they need to get in enough experience so they know what to expect in this dangerous sport.

"It's very dangerous. I've broken my tail bone, gotten countless stitches, staples in my head," said Adam Thornston, the co-head trainer at Reno Wrestling.

"I personally have six screws in my ankle," said Nelson.

In spite of the danger, those who wrestle say they like it too much to quit, and that's what inspires students to keep going.

"They're great guys, they help you coach through it. They tell you what you're doing wrong, and they make it better," said Barton.

Reno Wrestle Factory is open for business, and they're accepting new students. It's a $25 fee for one class, or $100 a month if you enroll in their training program.

You have to be at least 18 to sign up. For more information, head to RenoWrestleFactory.com.
