SPARKS, NV - Sparks police say speeding and weather were the factors in a rollover that caused a power outage Saturday morning.
About 3:15AM, police responded to the report of a single-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hubble Drive and Allegrini Drive.
Police say the driver had been traveling south on Hubble Drive when the vehicle left the wet road, and hit a utility box and street light. Power, cable and phone service was briefly disrupted in a several-block radius of this intersection due to the accident. Street lighting was also out in the area.
The vehicle involved in the incident was occupied by four males who were not hurt. Police say alcohol was not a factor, but the driver was cited for charges related to the incident.
