CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Authorities say firefighters battled a wildfire near Lake Tahoe and the Nevada-California state line for several hours before bringing it under control.

Douglas County dispatchers say they received a call just before 3 p.m. Wednesday about the blaze, which is about half a mile from the Daggett summit and near Nevada State Route 207.

Fire officials released a statement six hours later saying that the five-acre blaze had been brought under control.

Officials say there were no reports of damage to structures.

The grade was closed but reopened around 7:30 p.m., though motorists were cautioned to watch out for fire vehicles.
