SPARKS, Nev. - Wild Island Adventure Park is hiring for the upcoming summer season and hundreds of people lined up outside the water park Saturday morning to fill out applications.
Park officials say they're looking to fill about 300 positions at the waterpark, bowling alley, golf course and raceway. They offer jobs to hundreds of young people every year.
"We pride ourselves in providing employment and experience to young people so they can gain a skill set and take that to another job someplace else," General Manager Scott Carothers said. "All of our positions have a certain amount of training that has to take place so we have to get them ready so we can provide the guests with great customer service."
There's another job fair scheduled for Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Anyone interested in a job is asked to come down to the mini-golf and go-kart building.
