Washoe School District Invites Community to Budget Townhall Meetings
The Washoe County School District will be hosting five townhall meetings during the month of May to provide an update on and to discuss the District’s budget situation. The first townhall in the series is Wednesday evening.

The Washoe County School District will be hosting five townhall meetings during the month of May to provide an update on and to discuss the District’s budget situation. The first townhall in the series is Wednesday evening.
When: Wednesday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Galena High School Cafeteria (3600 Butch Cassidy Way, Reno)
Why: Superintendent Dr. Heath Morrison will be discussing the potential $75 million budget shortfall and its impact on the WCSD.
Who: Parents, WCSD employees and community members are invited to attend the townhalls as the District wants to hear input from all stakeholders about the budget.
Future Budget Townhall Dates:
Saturday, May 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Wooster HS Cafeteria
Wednesday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at McQueen HS Theater
Thursday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Reed HS Cafeteria
Wednesday, May 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Hug HS Cafeteria

I think since we already have spring break, there should be a fall break in the fall. The state of Arizona has a fall break why not us. Having a Fall break might just help out a little.
When will Reno/Sparks residents see an increase of the Federal money that we were to get through the Census? Isn't some of this money supposed to help our schools?
