Washoe Animal Services Offers Free Pet Microchips Through January '16

RENO, NV - Is the price of microchipping your pet keeping you from doing so? It's now become more affordable to do so, the Washoe County Regional Animal Services is offering free microchips through January 2016.

The Washoe County Regional Animal Services extended its free microchipping campaign for an additional two years, according to the director of Regional Animal Services.

Washoe County pet owners can microchip their pets for free at Regional Animal Services from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m .on Saturdays, according to the director of Regional Animal Services.

Once microchipped, Animal Services encourages pet owners to register their microchip online at homeagain.com to ensure proper identification if the pet should ever become lost outside of Washoe County.
