RENO, NV - You have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast while making a child's wish come true.
Make-A-Wish is hosting its fourth Waffles & Wishes fundraiser at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa from 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014.
An official with Make-A-Wish says Make-A-Wish's Waffles & Wishes fundraiser raises money to grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Guests can enjoy breakfast, bid on silent auction items, and listen to the stories of past wish children and their families, according to the official.
At each Waffles & Wishes fundraiser, Make-A-Wish reveals a wish to an unsuspecting child.
This year, First Lady Kathleen Sandoval will help grant the wish of this year's recipient, 6-year-old Lillian.
Because the average cash cost of granting a wish is $5,000, Make-A-Wish's goal is to raise enough money to be able to grant at least 15 wishes in Northern Nevada this year, according to the official.
The official says admission to Waffles & Wishes is free, however guests are encouraged to donate at the event and participate in the silent auction.
Pre-registration is required for this event. To make a reservation, call 775-826-8008.
