VIRGINIA CITY, NV - People packed C Street just before noon for the annual Fourth of July Parade. So many people were decked out in red, white, and blue. Flags seemed to be everywhere. This year's parade featured more than 70 floats.

Stacey Lane, who now lives in Reno, says she wanted to bring her two-year-old and three-year-old girls to Virginia City to celebrate because this is a tradition she wants them to get used to.

"I wanted to bring my kids to a parade. I would go to parades every single year where i'm from - Vermont. So I wanted to make sure we pass that tradition down to our children," she says.

The festivities didn't end when the parade did. Virginia City will also light up the skies with fireworks at dusk.
