RENO - A pair of Wolf Pack football players have informed the school that they will transfer at the end of this semester.

Alec Moreno announced on his Twitter page that he intends to play for San Diego. He is from nearby Poway, California.

Moreno was a three-star recruit out of high school. He would have been a redshirt freshman at linebacker for Nevada this coming season.

Beau Hershberger also plans to transfer. No word yet on where he'll play next season.

Hersberger was an All-CIF player at Granite Bay High School. He would have also been a redshirt freshman at defensive end for Nevada this coming season.

Wolf Pack head coach Brian Polian released this statement today regarding the transfers.

“We appreciate their efforts on the field and in the classroom, and wish them both the best of luck in the future.”
