Two Big Rigs Overturned in Washoe Valley

RENO, Nev. -- Two big-rigs overturned in Washoe Valley Saturday. The second one prompted the Nevada Highway Patrol to close Eastlake Blvd. to all vehicles over nine feet tall. Until about 11:30am, Eastlake was the only Washoe Valley roadway open to those high-profile vehicles.

The first truck overturned earlier in the morning on 395 near Franktown Rd. on the northern end of Washoe Valley. That truck was not fully-loaded, but fire crews had to clean up a small fuel leak. The driver was not hurt.

The second truck overturned on 395 near Eastlake Blvd. on the south end of the valley. No fuel spilled in that incident, and the driver was not hurt.

Investigators suspect wind to be a factor in both crashes.
