Two Arrested for Multiple Graffiti Cases

RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested two people accused of several cases of graffiti.

Police say about 4AM Wednesday, they were told by a witness about two people spraypainting signs, fences and buildings along the 900 block of East 2nd Street, east of downtown. Officers found the suspects and chased them on foot a short distance, and say the men may be responsible for at least 19 cases of destruction of property in the downtown area.

18-year-old Fabian Zaragosa-Martinez and Oscar Ramirez-Mesa are charged with gross misdemeanor destruction of property based on the total damage and estimated clean-up costs.

Graffiti within the city of Reno should be reported to Reno Direct @ 334-INFO. Police also encourage the public to call Secret Witness 775-322-4900 if they have information on any suspects committing these crimes.
